Further update on Scottish Water

As many residents will know the Teangue Water Treatment works has again been beset with filtration problems caused as a result of the adverse weather of 29/30th January which resulted in the close-down of the plant and the requirement to transport in water by tankers. The Community Council wrote to the Chief Executive of Scottish Water today, 1st February, requesting, once again, a meeting with SW Senior Managers over the precarious state of the water supply to Sleat. Initially we were advised, that Managers were not available until 21st February, but following the letter today (click here to see the letter), we have now been advised that a meeting will be held with the Community Council and key Sleat stakeholders on Monday 4th February. We will report the discussions from this meeting at the monthly meeting on Tuesday 5th February.
