The draft Sleat Local Place Plan 2024

After six months preparation including community consultations, an online survey, face to face sessions and over 650 comments and suggestions, the community council in partnership with Sleat Community Trust is delighted to publish the draft Sleat Local Place Plan 2024.

This is your masterplan for Sleat for the next decade and beyond and will help shape future planning for Highland Council's forthcoming Local Highland Development Plans which for the first time ever will cover the whole Highland Region a huge area of 30,659 sq kilometers in a single Plan. On 30 June 2023, the population of Highland was 236,330.

The draft Sleat LPP is still a work in progress and in due course will be submitted to the The Highland Council. You can read the paper at this link with a 'Quick Read' in English and Gaelic as a foreword.
