From the Highland Council-GDPR regulations eff. 25/5/2018

Dear Community Council

We have been approached by a number of you with queries about the forthcoming General Data Protection Regulation and how this may impact upon you as Community Councils.  We had hoped that specific Community Council guidance would be developed by the Information Commissioner’s Office – as has been provided in the past – however this has not been the case therefore it is hoped that the attached will assist you with the new regulations and highlight areas for you to consider.

We will do our best to assist you with any queries you may have, however we have also provided details of the Information Commissioner’s Office on the attached guidance who are the regulatory body and therefore responsible for implementation and regulation of GDPR.
