Planned road surface works for Sleat
Added on 12 April 2012
Following last week's Community Council meeting Hamish Fraser, Highland Councillor has obtained a schedule of works planned for Sleat roads this year. This is, of course, subject to change and we will post any changes to these proposals. Shown below is the brief summary from Hamish.
Two sections between Sabhal Mor to Loch Dhughaill amounting to 3000 meters are scheduled for surface dressing. On the main A851 the section between the cattle grid and the junction with the A87 amounting to 1000 meters is scheduled for surfacing (screed). Loch Dhughaill hill amounting to 650 meters is scheduled for surfacing (regulated and overlay). At Camus Cross the intention is to surface approximately 200m of the main township road and approximately 100m on the unclassified side road which goes up the hill (That is the stretch north of the Cruard junction on the corner). The Camus Cross/Isleornsay junction is also under consideration for some surfacing.
