FlySkye Campaign

The locally convened pressure group FlySkye have launched it's new website as part of the public campaign to encourage the re-introduction of air services to and from Skye and Lochalsh at Broadford's Ashaig Airstrip. Led by Prof Boyd Robertson, Principal of Sabhal Mor Ostaig, Shirley Spear owner of the famous Three Chimneys Restaurant and Ian Blackford of Glendale, the group is bringing pressure on the Scottish authorities to speed up the process to try to get air services to the region, to aid tourism, business development and economic growth. They also have a Facebook page which can be accessed here and on the new website there is a link to an online survey which has been launched to gauge public opinion.
