Community Challenge Fund
Added on 06 June 2014
The Highland Council has recently reviewed the Community Challenge Fund and made some changes with the aim to increase the number of successful applications.
The criteria of the fund has been widened to include projects that provide a preventative service: if a project could prevent the need for a Council service to be provided or expanded in the future, for example projects addressing rural deprivation and access to services in rural areas, reducing and preventing fuel poverty and supporting employability.
We also want to increase awareness of the support available to groups during the application process, through the Highland Third Sector Interface.
We have produced an information leaflet outlining information about the Fund. Please find the leaflet attached, and please distribute this to any community groups or social enterprises you feel may have an interest in the Community Challenge Fund.”
