First Minister visits SMO and cuts the first turf from Kilbeg

Friday 7th June saw Alex Salmond, First Minister perform the ceremony of the cutting of the first turb marking the start of the project to create Kilbeg, Skye's first new village in 100 years and the long-awaited expansion of Sabhal Mor Ostaig. A few pictures of the occasion are shown below;
