NHS Highland Consultation on proposed new Skye and Lochalsh Hospital
Added on 10 January 2013
Following the report in the Free Press on 14th December outlining the proposals to commence a consultation process for a combined new Skye and Lochalsh hospital, it was raised at this month's meeting that the Sleat Community Council should request that they be added as a consultee. As a result we have written to Gill McVicar, Area Manager, NHS Highland, requesting this to be considered. It is recognised that the consultation exercise will be comprehensive and over a period of time, and Gill's response to the Council is summarised below:
Hello Rob
Happy New Year to you too!
Yes, we are at the very early stages of engaging with communities on the possibility of a single site hospital and we intend to request a slot at all Community Council meetings as part of that. Someone will be in touch soon.
Best wishes
Gill
