Added on 04 July 2012
The UK's governments Office of Fair Trading has published it's report into prices and services in rural communities, which came as a result of the wave of complaints about high prices and lack of efficient services in the country as a whole. Nearly 500 responses came from the public and the majority of these were from Scotland's Highlands and Islands communities. The report is lengthy at 150 pages but is worth reading to see a view of what is really happening in regions like ours, and the government's take on the issues consulted on.
