THE HIGHLAND COUNCIL QUALITY AWARDS 2013
Our annual Quality Awards are now well established in recognising the achievements and commitment of our staff in serving local communities. At last year’s event Caithness Countryside Rangers, an Assistant at Melvich Primary School and the Portree Street Cleaning Team, were all presented with awards after being nominated by their local community councils.
We are now looking for all Highland Community Councils to nominate Highland Council staff for the 2013 Quality Awards Community Council Commendation awards.
Please let us know if there is a service or team that has provided your community with a high quality service. Equally if you see an improving service please let us know. The team can be roadsweepers, teachers, home carers, staff in an old folks’ home - in fact any group of Council staff who provide your community with a service.
Also please let us know if there is an individual member of staff who has given an outstanding service to your community who you think should be recognised for their work.
In both cases, please tell us a little about how the team or individual member of staff contributes to the community and why they deserve to be recognised. I have attached a copy of the nomination form for your use. We hope that you will help us make the awards a success by making one or more nominations. The winner of this category will be announced at the prize-giving ceremony being held at the Town House, Inverness, on Thursday 7th November.
All nominations should be submitted on the attached form and then e-mailed to performance@highland.gov.uk. The deadline is Friday 27 September 2013.
The documents are here, here and here!
Many thanks for your support.
Yours sincerely
